DRF Air Rescue

The DRF Air Rescue

Each year about hundred thousand people met with an accident on German roads. Furthermore cardiac infarctions and apoplectic strokes are life-threatening and hundreds of patients must be carried to German hospitals from abroad year for year. Rapid and effective medical support is therefore the major task of DRF Air Rescue. The highest measure of quality in supporting emergencies is the unlimited demand of DRF Air Rescue. To achieve this, DRF Air Rescue works with high standards of quality- in medical support, in air rescue operations and techniques. The DRF Air Rescue operates now 50 helicopters, all best equipped for the task of air rescue in cases of emergency, at 42 stations in Germany, Austria and Italy to provide optimal healthcare and medical support, at eight locations a day and night readiness is provided.
The DRF Air Rescue uses three own ambulances, experienced pilots and medical staff to carry home patients throughout the world.
About 700 emergency doctors, 400 paramedics, 180 pilots and 90 engineers are in charge for the DRF Air Rescue. In 2007 they carried out 39.111 missions.

Falck Denmark A/S

The private Danish rescue and security organization Falck, with nearly 500 rescue vehicles and about 3,800 rescue assistants, carries out about 350,000 emergency missions per year. However, Falck's activities are not limited to the scope of a rescue service, but also extend into the areas of fire services, fire protection, accident services, animal rescue, and the security services sector.

Region Syddanmark

The original project partner Sønderjyllands Amt is come up since 2007 together with the districts Ribe, Vejle and Fünen in the region Syddanmark. Thus the region covers the south of Jutland and the island Fünen. The seat of the district administration is Vejle. The region has 1,185,840 inhabitants and an area of 12,191 km², so that the population density is 97 inhabitants per km².

The Nordfriesland District Administration

The Nordfriesland District is Germany's most northern administrative district, and is the third largest in Schleswig-Holstein in area. With a population of 166,654 in an area of 2047 km2, Nordfriesland has a population density of 81 inhabitants per km2. The seat of the district administration is in Husum.

The VdAK and the AEV of Schleswig-Holstein

The Verband der Angestellten-Krankenkassen (VdAK-) is the umbrella organization of the seven statutory health insurance companies for white-collar employees. The Arbeiter-Ersatzkassen-Verband (AEV) is the umbrella organization of the three workers' statutory health insurance companies in Schleswig-Holstein. These two associations represent the economic and political interests of their member insurance companies.

The University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein, UK S-H, is the second largest university hospital in Germany, with 2,400 in-patient beds, and has 9,000 employees. It treats 240,000 outpatients and about 100,000 in-patients or part-time in-patients.

It is the only hospital in Schleswig-Holstein with facilities for intensive care and all advanced treatments, and is the state's center for university medical research and teaching.

The Telemedical Service and Health Center (Telemedizinisches Service- und GesundheitsZentrum)

The Telemedical Service and Health Center is a division of the Segeberger Klinik GmbH. The aim of the center is to establish telemedicine as a component of integrated patient care. The term telemedicine describes a form of diagnostics and therapy in which telecommunication is used to bridge the space or time distance between doctor and patient, or between two doctors in consultation.

Berufsfeuerwehr der Stadt Flensburg (Flensburg City Fire Service)

The Flensburg City Fire Service is responsible for the safety of the citizens of Flensburg. It is the city's public fire service, and consists of a full-time workforce trained in fire service technology. It works in collaboration with the seven voluntary fire services in Flensburg to ensure safety and to deal with emergencies. The various fire services are organized within the Flensburg City Association of Fire Services.

Medical Chamber of Schleswig-Holstein

The Medical Chamber of Schleswig-Holstein is a public corporation, and represents all physicians who work professionally in Schleswig-Holstein or, if they do not practice, are resident in Schleswig-Holstein.
